Business Process Management: Applying Supply Chain Thinking Beyond the Shop Floor
Mike Fitzmaurice, Chief Evangelist & VP - North America, WEBCON
If you asked me to describe supply chain thinking, I’d say it involves a strategic and holistic approach to managing the flow of goods, information, and finances from suppliers to end customers. It emphasizes collaboration, efficiency, and agility to respond to changing customer demands and market conditions.
I’d describe business process management the same way, except that it applies to nearly every facet of running a business. By engineering business functions (sales, HR, finance, marketing, etc.) with a common goal of meeting customer needs, manufacturers can reduce costs, improve quality, eliminate errors, increase speed to market, build employee excellence, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Processes are also necessary for a sound digital automation strategy; you can’t achieve digital transformation without both. Join us to hear several real-world examples of companies that made this work with exceptional results.
